So in Boston people are fighting over parking spaces even more, now that they have over 2 feet of snow to contend with. Lots of Mass schools are closed again tomorrow as the roads are still considered unsafe for the busses. We got (only) 26 inches here in Worcester. Lucky for us, our neighbors all pitched in & worked together to get cars out etc. Crazy storm & they say we're getting more tonight. Yeah.
Cass is wonderful, but fresh. She's taken to yelling NO whenever possible, refusing to eat at the table (same food is ok in a cup in front of the Care Bears movie however, & generally pushing our buttons whenever possible. It's a good thing she's cute or she'd be out the window!
I went to Target today to get a sled for her...& they were out. Instead they had a whole row of pool toys & floaties. Hmmm it seems a bit early but the retail world is always months ahead of the game.
My mother's 60th birthday is this weekend & I'm not going to be around. I'm heading to NH for Friday night to hang with Toad & Birdgirl at their timeshare. We're leaving Cass with Grips & Red for the night...and I'm anxious. I know she'll be perfectly fine there and she'll sleep well after chasing V all over creation but I hope she won't be too much of a handful. So I talked to my mother's Dick and he wants me to put together some sort of brunch for Mom this Sunday. Inviting my aunt & fat cousin...what a pain in the ass. No one has called me back so far so I don't know where we'll have it. If it's just us then I'm thinking Anthony's in Guilford or Friends, but if they are showing up I'd rather do it someplace more central & closer to Hartford, which would be less of a drive for us. Man, it's going to be a weekend spent in the car!
