Tempest asks:
1. You've just had a baby (congratulations). How has she changed your life for the day to day routine and how do you foresee her changing your life in the future? I spend my day putting her needs first...and that's a big change for me. I guess that for now and into the future, the biggest change is that I can't be selfish ever again. It's all about her now, and giving her the best opportunities we can.
2. What are you going to do differently as a mother than what your mother did?
I will be honest with my daughter. No big dark scarey secrets looming over her pretty little head. I remember my parents having very physical drunken fights when I was little, and I don't want Cass to have those memories of us. I think I'll be a little more grounded in reality than my mother ever was...taking a more practical track.
3. You have been granted your fifteen minutes of fame. The newspapers want a biography of your life, what blurb would you give them to print that would describe you?
Geeze. I wouldn't really give them a blurb. I'd do one interview with Dianne Sawyer and tell her where I grew up and all that history stuff. After that, the Inquirer would just have to make stuff up. Hey, maybe Ashton, Demi & I could have a 3 way!
4. You just got divorced (sorry). However, you hear that there is a magic personal ad agency that will hook you up (or re-hook you up) with your soul mate. How does your personal ad read?
First let me say that this is a hypothetical question and that I have not gotten divorced, just in case anyone is reading and freaking out.
Looking for a tall, long haired man who enjoys the outdoors as well as quiet nights at home with the family. He should be business saavy with a strong drive to succeed, and should be able to prioritize his work and play times. He should definately be an animal lover. He will need an appreciation for sarcastic whit and be able to give it as well as dish it out.
5. What would your dream house look like? Be as detailed as you like.
My dream home is an update on the center staircase colonial, with a wide porch that spans the entire front of the house, overlooking lush flower gardens, with a little swing. Inside it will be open and airy, with large doorways and tons of windows so that light streams in at any time of the day and it feels like one big open space. The livingroom will have a HUGE fieldstone fireplace and built in bookshelves on either side, with comfy couches that just beg you to curl up and read a book. The kitchen will be stainless steel and copper, with gray marble counter tops. There will be a center island, with copper pots hanging overhead, and all the modern conveniences. The breakfast nook will be sunny and overlook the backyard pool and bbq area. There will be an office on the first floor with two work stations and plenty of storage for files and the like. We'll have to have a media room with a plasma screen tv, dart board, full wet bar and pool table. The diningroom would be ornate and formal, with seating for at least 12 on plush chairs, done in a tapestry pattern. Upstairs would be two rooms for the kids, with a shared bath and a small sitting room in between to hang out and play. The master suite would have a huge hottub and double shower. The toilet would be in it's own stall, with bookshelves. There would be a double sink and plenty of storage. I'm thinking black marble - but the floor would be heated. In the bedroom itself, there would be a california king bed with a canopy done in rich jewl toned indian silks. There would be a gas fireplace in the corner, with a chaise lounge and fuzzy carpet in front, for (et hem) lounging. The tv would be in a cabinet at the end of the bed and would raise at the touch of a button. The walk in closet would be the size of my bedroom now and have a dressing table and seating. As for guests, they would have to stay in the two bedroom cabana outside near the pool, with it's cozy gally kitchen and living area. Oh, and there would be a 3 car garage. Yeah...
