Well, it was a good weekend overall. Nothing too exciting to report. Friday night was quiet, watching FarScape and hanging at the house. It was a long week and I was beat! Saturday I cleaned out my car - even the trunk! I had Christmas decorations from my office - two jobs ago! I found plenty of clothes that I'd thought were lost and about 5 ice scrapers. I also came across the box of favorite tapes that I'd totally forgotten about. So yesterday we drove around listening to GnR Appetite for Destruction and this wierd band Frente. The tapes are now within easy access in the car and I expect hours of entertainment, especially when I dip into the mixed tapes. Memory lane right there!

After cleaning the car, we went over to DaveGrips and I floated in his pool for a few hours. My legs are a little burned, but otherwise I did pretty good. Man, I want a pool! It was so super relaxing to be sipping a beer, listening to the Doors and floating out in the hot sun. Blixx sorted through the camping gear and brought what we need for next weekend over to Toad's place. We did dinner with Toad, DrJim and his wife. We ordered from this new Thai place that is AWESOME. As I type, I'm shoveling left over yellow curry and pad thai into my face. Mmmmm! We had a few drinks and hung out until midnight or so. Pretty fun, although DrJim gets a little preachy after 3 SoCo and Coke's so spendign the weekend together should be interesting to say the least.

Yesterday was a total waste. We managed to check DaveGrip's house again (and love his poor ignored cat) and get ice coffee, but that's it. I sacked out on the couch and Blixx played computer games all day. I couldn't even motivate enough to dye my hair back to red. DaveGrips returned from his vacation in ME and came over for a few pops last night. He had some stories and certainly looks mroe relaxed than he did before he left. He claims that lobster's aren't in season right now - we'll see. He didn't even bring any back for himself, so I guess I'll let it go. Damn it! I wanted lobster for dinner!

Today has blown right by at work. I had a 'quick' brainstorming meeting today at 11 which I totally forgot until they called looking for me. D'Oh! I've got to come up with some sort of team building contest for the 50 or so folks in the Inbound and Seeker Support departments and present my (great and creative) ideas next week in front TheDevil. I only call him that because I want to transfer to being his assistant, thus becomming TheDevil's advocate. I give Blixx 110% credit for coming up with that one, but I do think it will look great on my business cards. Devil has heard my numerous pleas for more engaging work than stuffing envelopes and has been making sure that I have more responsibilities around here. The only problem is that I was growing quite complacant in my employee rut and he didn't give me any warning. I'll be contacting Tempest for her ideas for this contest. It's going to end with a casino night type thing where you can bet the 'bucks' you've earned in the quarter's little contests. I want to do a FUN contest where I'd come up with a couple of MadLibs. The stories would be around our company and would tell a little story or have some point about our business. The challenge would be for everyone in the dept to fill in the blanks so make the funniest story ever. That way we can read the funniest out loud at the Casino Night meeting as an icebreaker. I don't know if my idea has merit as a real contest or not. I've got to work on this a little bit.

Since all of you reading this are creative and wacky individuals, your feedback is appreciated. E-mail your idea's HERE.

I'm off to do some actual work. I've got to work late tonight to attend a company wide sales meeting. I should be bored to tears by 6:30. With me luck staying awake.

Into the future...
