Saturday we bought a new fridge. It's way bigger than we need, but was actually more energy efficient than the smaller model so what the hell. The 14 month no interest financing was too good to pass up. It's taller than the one we have, so we'll need to move the cabinet up about 6 inches. It doesn't get delivered for 2 weeks, so we've got plenty of time for construction/demolition. I'm actually looking forward to making a big chance in the house! We were up past midnight cooking and preparing for our NH adventure, so 8am came early with Birdgirl knocking on the door.

Camping:
It started as drizzle, that annoying rain that clings to you and makes you damp and fogs up your glasses. It then progressed to an all out downpour – and stayed there! We got there with enough time to set up before the game, so we got things in order. Toad & Tadpole were the advance team and had major tarp all set up and ready to go, which was a major bonus. We went to a sports bar at Waterville Valley Resort (nice place) and watched the first 3 quarters of the Pat's game before we were disgusted and had to leave. Back to camp...and it's raining. It continued to rain through the evening into the night, which dampened our plans for running around. We stayed under the tarp and the boys drank like fish. We ate like kings but the bad weather was a real bummer as far as hanging out goes, so we went to bed relatively early. Then the wind came and took out our tarp. I really thought our tent was going to fly away in the night…it actually waited until we were breaking down camp yesterday, but still…quite the gusts. We didn't sleep well, waking every once in a while fearing that the tent would blow away. I'm thinking Wizard of Oz swirling into oblivion. Toto?
Yesterday Blixx & I separated from the fray and did some driving around and leaf peeping. We went to The Flume and had a nice hike around there. It's a really beautiful place and we took a ton of pictures. I picked up a bunch of leaves, because I've got this crazy art project idea for them. More info to follow (i.e. if it comes out, you'll hear about it. If it stinks, then no further mention).

All in all we had fun, but it certainly wasn’t the best camping experience of all time. We should have stayed longer and the weather was a total drag. Oh, and the pit toilets left much to be desired.

I’m tired and sore from the cold and have the sniffles and want to go home.
